Your cofounding team
We form a team of engineers, designers, and experienced advisors to take your idea from prototype to product.
I've been consistently impressed with their passion for building product and their commitment to understand the "why's" and not just the "what's". It's a rare trait to find and even more impactful coupled with their deep technical talent.

Cofounder & CTO of Octave
Tidepool has helped us chart our path through product development and weather the storms of early startup life. The success of Chalkboard is their success too, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Companies we've partnered with
To think like a founder, it helps to have been one.
George is an internet, technology and media executive and investor with a 20-year track record of building disruptive companies. Prior to Tidepool Labs, George helped build MDsave to be the Amazon of Healthcare, giving people medical choice and cost transparency. He was CEO of GoodGuide (NEA, DFJ), the largest information source of green, healthy consumer products. George was President of the social publishing platform Scribd (Redpoint, CRV), and was COO of Bebo, which AOL bought in an all-cash sale for $850 million. Before Bebo, George was managing director at Organic, one of the first agencies to bring digital advertising to the internet. He started his career in the film industry, working at Lucasfilm and Colossal Pictures and founding 3D animation studio Media Concrete. George holds a MA degree in Sociocultural Anthropology at Columbia University and serves on the board of UCLA’s School of the Arts and Architecture. Outside work he is a global surfer, art enthusiast, and dual citizen of US and Italy.
Thaisan is an entrepreneur, engineer, and investor with a background in software, biology, and recruiting. Thaisan co-founded Foundry Hiring (Harrison Metal, TriplePoint), a recruiting software company. Foundry was acquired by Dropbox and Thaisan spent nearly four years on the engineering and design teams at Dropbox, where his team was responsible for building tools to help the company scale from 200 to 1500+. Prior to Foundry, Thaisan worked at Aviir, a biotech startup developing a test for cardiovascular disease, and was a computational biology researcher at the Stanford School of Medicine in the lab of Nobel laureate Dr. Andrew Fire. Thaisan is a graduate of Stanford University where he studied Human Biology and Computer Science. Beyond work, Thaisan enjoys motorcycle road trips, camping, and spending time with his family.
Vahagn Grigoryan is an engineer who believes the best way to show vision is through action—building technology that actually scales and solves problems. Early on, as a top-performing university student, Vahagn's passion for math and physics helped him represent his school at the National Math Olympiads. Post-grad, he had the foresight to channel his continued passion into the exploration of Artificial Intelligence while it was still a niche academic pursuit (rather than tech's favorite buzzword). Later, as the founding engineer of a startup recognized by both Microsoft and the government, Vahagn made clear he knows how to take smart ideas and turn them into scalable, award-winning products.
Joe Van Remortel is an operator—the kind who actually makes things happen for fast-moving tech startups. He's the guy you call when it's time to scale sales, nail customer success, or figure out why your products aren't as successful as you'd promised. Before Tidepool Labs, Joe turned around Global Customer Success at Hearsay, which sounds tricky, because it was. Joe also spent nine years at DocuSign building customer-facing teams as the company grew into a billion-dollar company. And if that's not enough, earlier in his career, Joe helped grow E*TRADE into a FinTech powerhouse, while creating their asset management division along the way. When he steps away from work, Joe spends time with his family, goes skiing, and enjoys fishing where he’s able to apply the same patient, methodical approach he uses to help scale companies. He has a BA from UCLA and an MBA from Yale.
